What does “D-Day” means? It has nothing to do with military attack day or the day when the Allied forces invaded western Europe during the World War II.
In this entry, it simply means Durian Day!
I was invited to a durian party on this night, exactly in the middle of the year 2009 in the year of Ox at Room M400.
Thanks Tanush for having us!!
While the smell of the fruit still lingers in my mouth, another D-Day event occurred. The other D-Day meaning.
A phone call came from a long lost friend, now in Perth (I think the last time I talked to her was my 1st year of medical school).
So anyway, she found my number from me Mom and called… to invite me to her wedding!! OMG!! I couldn’t believe my ears. I was so surprised to receive her phone in the first place and then so many happy surprises followed suit.
Another wonderful news was the venue.
Well, she’s having her wedding in South Africa!!
And I get a personal invitation. I was so touched. I still am. And I’m so happy for her and her significant other.
Congrats, my friend!!
I just hope I can make it since I would have just started housemanship by then.
